Monticello Drive consists of 3 musicians.

Jeff is from Rowlett, TX and has been playing for the last 20 years. His wife Lisa is from Northeast Arkansas, but now lives in Royse City, TX with Jeff and their 4 boys.  Jerry is from Garland, TX and has been friends with Jeff since high school and have been recording and writing together ever since.

The name of the group is actually a street in Irving, TX where Jeff’s grandparents lived.  Majority of the songs are about family and are developed from those memories.  Jeff also noted that they are only using Weber instruments on the current project.

Jerry plays most of the lead stuff while Jeff takes the rhythm on the guitar or the mandolin.

Their sound is a bit different from anything that has been covered on the site before, but very good.  It has a bit of an “old timey” and laid back feel.  The vocals are great and it is musically very tight.

Monticello Drive is working on new material and will have a 5 song EP soon, with a 10 song CD within the year.
